The story started with a "smoking fetish" tag, involved a guy who was on a super-secret team that discovered an alien spacecraft that saved his life, and a "Doc in a Box" that changed his wife & daughter. (I'm old, but you'd think I'd remember a story that was posted every week for years...)

Looks very much as though his (missing) Author entry can be updated. He blogged that his wife was very ill, he himself was ill and then he stopped posting. In April 2023.
