@Grizz
This sounds like I Fell Through by The Old Guy.
Not really. In 'I fell through', the guy is from the future and he didn't kill anybody before catching a wagon train.
I really liked the premise of the story of 'I fell through', but unfortunately, the author wrote himself into a corner in the third book. He was going for a simpy feminist storyline and I guess he couldn't get himself to flesh it out and the 3rd book remains unfinished.
That's a very common thing that I noticed with isekai stories that send a modern man into the past. They never adjust the attitude of the time traveller to match the kind of required attitude to survive in the past.
I would like to read a story where the man from the future learns to behave like an actual man instead of a simpy modern feminist man where they don't start by liberating all the women and letting the women take over all the decisions.
In the past, when governments were not the ultimate husband to all the women, men shouldered huge responsibility and got the proper respect.
Any suggestions that fit?
If not, then I guess I would have to write that story myself.
