@upperThey're still there, since they were never removed, yet they're now archived, so they're not as easily accessible. My Not-Quite Human series, as Tacayo noted.
I wrote several nanobyte stories, where the automated nano-technology augments the character's innate DNA and thus their general biological physiology.
In fact, I'm still using those same story tropes now in several concurrent stories.
But my last story, Nowhere Like Home? (2022) was about recovering the protagonist's lost memories, as it wasn't the sperm itself that changed anyone, it was the associations with the newcomers creating their own links to his own past (a different approach, overall).
I do have my favorite story tropes which I keep using for different stories. In my initial Catalyst series, which even I can hardly remember anymore, it was about someone with unique abilities which others help him to access. So while there are sperm exchanges, it's not the basis of the story, becoming who he was determined to be, is the story.
However, I pulled several stories while planning to rewrite the entire multi-volume series, only they never got off the ground and was subsequently abandoned.
