I vaguely remember that, which means it was probably on this site.
IIRC, the alien was part of an organized group of aliens and he had a quota of girls to steal. A friend of the MC was a potential target. There may have been some time travel/do over or precognition involved.
I believe that it is part of The New Federation series by Monbade. Which book is the problem. It has been to many years since I have read it.
