Forgot story name but do remember a single scene/chapter.

MC is teen boy. Family consists of both parents and at least one sister, maybe two sisters.

Teen boy puts an ordinary coin in his pocket in the kitchen, does not know about the hole in the pocket and coin gets under the fridge.

Some time after the boy has a dream/vision/message from future self(?) about the coin under the fridge and a fire.

Boy gets up about 2am and finds the coin(burns hand) and the dust under the fridge smoking. Saves family and home from a fire.

I think the dream/vision has half/most the family dying.

Mother said she has smelt smoke before.

Father very big on having lists for chores. Says he forgot about cleaning under the fridge/putting it on the list.

Quite sure this story is on SOL and there is much more.

I believe I read in the last two years, but unsure if a new story, a random story pick, or a story about to be archive(hope not).

I don't remember it being a coin from his pocket, but the rest of it is a scene from Gina Marie Wylie's Tom's Diary

A coin from his allowance, dropped as he was pocketing it; completely concur that it's Tom's Diary.

Other notable scenes are the MC hanging upside down in his wrecked car, uninjured but completely trapped, smelling leaking gasoline as the emergency services are working to cut him free; and a friend whose father ran off with a co-worker, having a heart attack at the same moment as her father was stabbed in the heart by the co-worker.

ETA: The fridge scene is in Ch.23

I remember that car scene now also. Somehow my mind just remembered the fire under the fridge scene and nothing else of the story. Still not remembering the heart attack. Must mean I have to reread that great story again. Slowly coming back to me. I think the friend was a sister to Tom's friend and named Emily. Thank you both for the story name.

Well, she was active on her site about half-way between your post and this one so I must assume you're referring to her lack of new material; yep, I miss it too.

Good for her, as it shows her determination and focus are still strong. Yet, with her health issues, more stories are likely, unlikely.

Still, Gina, I'm proud of you, both your work, your accomplishments and your inner strengths. You're one of the SOL greats.

No smoke, but maybe a morsel I ate at dinner or just a weird mind. Might even be from reading her story Spitfire on archive. She has her reasons for dropping it, but I wish one day she might finish it.

She finished S&M, the ending feels a bit rough and rushed to me, it ends with a terrorist attack on the school. Not here, but on BtFH.

ETA: When I reread it I prefer to read the old version, swapping to the new when it runs out.

Do you know how to go to BtFH? Archive seems to only have their forum pages and Gina's page goes to bitbards and ends just before they go to beach/camping.
