The setting is in the historical US midwest (cowboys era?). The father dies and the mom tells the son that, in order for them to survive and keep their land, he has to take over as her legal husband. I remember only the beginning where there was a con man trying to steal their land by claiming the mom as his wife and the son kills him. Anyone remembers this? Thanks.
