You should get a reminder shortly (2 days?) before it expires. I seem to remember that this area is configurable but I never bothered and that's how it works for me.
The system sends out a reminder 10 days before, but I don't like to wait to the last minute. I pay my credit cards when the statement arrives rather than waiting for the due date.
I tend to let it expire, do some tests to explore the differences between Premier and Free accounts and then renew when I need the Premier features again. That's normally a couple of days.
Don't you lose some of the stuff you have saved when your subscription expires? Or is the information kept for the two days while you consider?

If you let Premier expire, they keep the data for six months.
