Does anyone have/know where I can read his "Tina West" series?
I thought Hymen had reposted a cleaned up version of the original story. Regardless, all his other stories are available in the archive. You can get to the LS, but you have to use the longer URL - no '~'

Seriously? I thought the point of AssTr was that no-one was ever banned there for practically any reason, that came to bite them in the Ass eventually because it became a refuge for people who had been banned everywhere else.
What drove me away was the spamming by the Nifty Archives, they repeatedly uploaded their entire content in a three day cycle and made the "New Stories" section practically useless. There was another archive (LesLita ?) but that was only a fraction of the size and easier to ignore.
Pretty much. It had an alternative domain .xyz but that doesn't seem to be working lately. Right now about the only way to get to it is the Internet Archive.

As a guess, the ban was probably for plagiarism or copyright violation. That's the only thing I can think of that would lead either asstr or the internet archive to pull content like that.
I think the Mr Double operator (now in jail) emitted some fake DMCA takedown. But ASSTR would never blindly comply with that.
As far as I know, ASSTR did never ban anyone, except when not respecting the hosting conditions: no illegal photos and no abuse such as link farm.
Loliwood Studio had to remove some photos at it's start.
IIRC (that's a big if lately...) The site went dormant for quite some time then was removed. The rumor was that it was the result of some legal actions.

It was never banned from ASSTR. The Internet Archive has barred some links to it, but LS is still there if you want it.

If there was an ftp site, it would have been mapped to:
/files/Authors/LS/ That may contain an inaccessible 'www' and the content of the ftp folder but LS didn't have ftp access. The content was also not posted to the newsgroup. The early collection hierarchy didn't accept new entrant when LS was created. And Apache "My Favorites" never took an interest in such content.

I never was able to make use of that, the code is on Git, but the build instructions are lacking...
There was a files/author/LS link that I used to use, but that does not appear to work any more.

It was .xyz, it's gone, and AFAIK it was only a static snapshot anyway.
A static snapshot would have been perfectly sufficient for most purposes, and close to perfect if it had been taken at the end of 2011.
Why? Artie removed his entire presence early on in 2012.

See, I can copy-paste too! At least I trim out the cruft. My faves of those listed are Control Loop Stability, Tuesday Morning at the Mall and Field Work (Teeth and Claws!), and Rebuilding and His Taste for shorts with a twist.
The first three you list as "faves" are by Artie, and Rebuilding may be the one he wrote as well. I'd guess that at least half of the rest are also Artie's, a couple of the others are from Wiseguy.
Synergy is the name of an excellent story by colt45 on this site, I suppose it has some Erotic Mind-Control aspects.
