I barely remember what the story was about but I think the premise was about animals becoming human women (with animal ears and tails if remember correctly). The story itself is about a man whose pets have transformed and who is now in sexual relationship with them.
Some other details I remember is that the man lived somewhere relatively isolated (he couldn't leave the house because of a snow-in)
Among his harem were a cat a dog and a mouse? (i think)
One of his neighbors was I think a farmer with transformed cows.
One of the transformed women died in the forest before he could find her.
The ending of the story was about him becoming a consultant for pet-human relationships?
There also was something related to animals in the zoo transforming.
That is all I remember and even then I am not completely sure if I am not mixing up things.
