I'm looking for a story that I'm not even sure is on this site. (If not, it's either on NoblePath or FirewoodInfinite, not another porn site.)

The thing that stands out in my mind is that the protagonist has this saying that comes out pretty much once a chapter: "You can either get over it, or die mad." They use it on other people, on themselves, whatever.

I asked the Duck, but all I got was a video of a Steve Harvey sermon/lecture/something that I wasn't willing to listen to (since it didn't seem likely to help find the story).

On the one hand, I'm pretty sure about the "die mad" part. That's the bit that really nails it into my memory. "You can get over it or be mad for a long time" is a little too milquetoast to be memorable, IMO.

On the other hand, it's a chance to re-read some JC stories. That's never a bad thing, so I'll go do that. (But I'm still pretty sure they aren't what I'm after...)
