I can't remember much about the story but it featured a male lead maybe on vacation with his daughter.
Takes a ride in a tour boat type thing and in there meets a celebrity hiding out from her fame with her female friends, maybe actress or model.
I can only remember a specific scene where maybe in front of a hotel he pushes the starlet out the way of a van but gets hit himself.
Can't remember finishing the story, either got distracted by something else or maybe it was posting at the time?
Read this fairly recently within the last five years or less on here but as my sub expired my search ability is more restricted now and library is locked off so can't check if I had it saved or not.
