I'm looking for a story that's similar to Reluctant Sir's Echo, but it's not that story.
Protagonist is mid-late teens, winds up late in the story working at a resort on Lake Tahoe that he (secretly?) owns. His biological father winds up, I believe, previously deceased - he became the father when the mother tripped him and landed under him. I think there was a motorcycle gang involved as well, but I may be conflating stories.
Any ideas?
Take a look at the Hindsight 20/20 series by SmokinDriver. I didn't check back to verify and I am relying solely on aged memory impressions. Whether it's what you are looking for it should be close enough and good enough to give you some pleasant reading.
It is weakling and not finished read that he was losing his sight and was not sure if he was ever going to finish it.
I wonder if Weakling was inspired by Echo, posting started several months after Echo was completed. He was also obviously posting chapters as he wrote them.
Could be. The common theme I perceived in his stories is that the protagonists all had some sort of physical flaw, at least at the start. There's one I haven't read, so I may be mistaken.
