I sort of remember a story i read years ago but dont know the title or author but what i think i remember that a man comes to this guys house to kill him and the guy from the house gets sho a few time but he manages to kill him with i think a sword and he beheads the guy maybe im not even sure it was on here or not does anyone know the author or the story title if it is here

Several armed men break in to the MC's girlfriend's apartment in order to kill her (I think she was that target that time) and the two of them killed all of them, shooting three and beheading two. The MC took a minor wound from a bullet.

I think you may be thinking of Xalir's My Jorney series. He has a Captain America shield that helps protect him from shooter. I believe it's in the third book. However it is now premiere only.
