I read this story some time ago - meaning years. Unsure how many years.
In the story, the main character is a male in, I think, high school, and is believed to have ADHD. They prescribe some drug to treat it. Somehow, he takes one or more academic tests that show he does not have ADHD, but was bored to death in class. IIRC, the tests allow him to be moved up a grade in school.
The scenes could have been minor scenes in a long story, or could have been the main thrust. I do not recall which.
This could have been a COA story or maybe a DoOver. I'm pretty sure it was on SOL since I rarely read online stories anywhere else.
I've used SOL searches for ADHD, for COA, for boredom. There were hundreds of matches and none of the story descriptions seem to match the story I remember
Anybody else remembersuch a story?
