3rd Half-Remembered Story

chipsahoy2k ๐Ÿšซ

I remember it to be a long story, (10 or 11 chapters) and it was about a collumist who wanted to be a novelist, and went researching in the midwest finding a ton of housewives willing to tell about their affairs both inside and outside the home, which led her to having some of her own adventures in that arena.

I Think it was Called Either 'The Editor' or 'The Novelist'....

No Idea who wrote it, i do however remember when i saw it, (1998).

if anyone can help, i thank in advance.

@chipsahoy2k

Was the story even on this site? I can't remember when SOL started up but it was around then.

@Dinsdale

This Is Why I'm Asking Here.
As i recall from the time, this story, plus the other few i've asked about, i think i read off a old Usenet website that would view the newsgroups in a netscape browser, but at the same time, i seem to remember them also being in the original SOL format too.

In those days, i only half read stuff trying to figure out what was what due to the sheer volume of what was getting posted. so mostly i remember The start of the story, and its ending or a few phrases clearly enough, but lost in a billion webpages.

That sounds like AssTr.org. The site suffered a major failure a few years back when a large part of the content was lost, as of a few weeks ago it appears to have been knocked off the web (= server is down) altogether.
The site was essentially useless for years before its database took that hit, it was inundated with pedo stories and a large number of the authors no longer wanted to be associated with the site. Then the "nifty archive" essentially spammed it to death by uploading several hundred stories / chapters a day - it was the same stories on a 3 day cycle - which meant that the only "New Stories" you saw were Nifty's gay porn. The "leslita archive" followed suit - I think that was Lesbian Lolita - but there were a lot less files involved.
I think AssTr.org started off by being a repository for alt.sex.stories.moderated - viewable by author - but permitting authors to design "their" areas however they wanted. As a.s.s.m. became less frequented more and more authors uploaded directly to the site. Then came the pedo crowd.

Then came the pedo crowd.

The pedo crowd came to storiesonline too; in 2010 and 2011 there was a lot of pedo stuff.

But then canada's law changed and that chased them away.

Not a bad thing I would guess.

Now that surprises me, that new content had to then conform goes without saying, but older content would have been granddaughtered in.

Not a bad thing I would guess.

Agreed.

Nope,
The website i had used at the time went out of business about 3 months after i found it thru ask jeeves, and i only really remember the gist of of it. At the time, There Was a lot more AdultCheck websites and is entirely possible i found these stories on those... (webrings were big at the time.)

Ive got a feeling, these may forever be lost, but hoped maybe someone might recognize the plot. I Dunno. Thought Id give it a chance here.

thanks for the help anyways.
