I am pretty sure that this is all one story. Young guy goes to a nudist ranch several times, they find gold and a ship that was saved in a cave. Also they travel around in an old train at one point. This is a bit all over the place, but I hope these little bits will find it.

the story I am thinking spans more than 1 book iirc...
It used to be four books; however, Phil Brown has re-edited them into one cohesive book. I loved the originals, but I want to thank you for this question because I have not yet read the new version, and now I know what to do after I finish my writing. Tee Hee.
"Second Time Through" was great and all points turn to the new version to be even better as the story is focused.
Personally, I can't wait to be able to go into my story and make a better version for eventually posting for sale.
