I know the story but can't call it to mind right now. He runs a database server farm from his farmhouse. Has two dogs that are very serious about protecting his property when he's not home. She takes time off to continue his care at home, and he cooks his special ribs to feed her parents.

Well I'll be .... I looked at that one and it didn't start the way I remembered so I ignored it.
Yes, thank you very much

There was a real life massacre at a shopping center in Texas within the last year, shortly afterwards a poorly written story appeared on this site detailing a very similar event.
"Poorly written"? It switched the pov randomly between 3rd party and that of the shooter, frequently within a single paragraph. I started off reading it but it looked to be an attempt to justify the attack and I abandoned it.

I've read some stories where this happened, I always thought the author has started it one way and then decided to switch the POV. I thought they had done a sloppy job at changing the POV and missed some places.
Never occurred to me it might be a poor grasp of English.
