Sticking with GMW, her Far Side Two over on BtFH I think has a couple of portals used by vehicles - there's at least one used by a submarine. The original Far Side had a people-only portal, which may later have been modified to cope with vehicles, but FS is now commercial and not on BtFH (nor here).
ETA: Tangent wasn't a portal, but an accidental shanghai of the van, by way of temporal transporters as in H.Beam Piper's Lord Kalvan...
Also on BtFH, Bruce Bretthaur has one - Colvilles Anabasis has a Native American exodus through a portal just prior to WW3; a couple of others have people-portals, as does his (now commercial) New Zion series.
As much as I like the story it doesn't fit the request. No vehicles went through the portal, just him.
I don't remember the author or story, but I read one on SOL where the portal (iirc) was on the road under a bridge beside a canal in England. Vehicles and any pedestrians who went past while the portal was open, went through The MC worked out that the portal opened at regular intervals so he bought back some of the other people who had gone through. The MC decide to stay.
