It starts off with a young guy, late teens I think, on a train heading to prison. He is handcuffed to a US Marshall. The Marshall goes to the bathroom, or something along those lines, and un cuffs himself from the young guy. The guy then escapes, leaves the train, and wanders the wilderness until he comes across a farm owned buy a young woman and her two kids. The husband either left or is dead, and the young guy agrees to educate her kids in exchange for a place to live. Any help finding this is much appreciated!
