Almost like a sub-story within Joe J's Johnny Pulaski. Except the stoner/surfer is a day trader.
I remember a similar story but the surfer dude is the mc and he is rich due to day trading with the seed money being his college fund after he rejected going to college.
The joe j story only has a side character like that if remember correctly.
Unfortunately I can't remember the story title or author. But the joe j one might be also gone too since his story list seems awfully shorter than I remember if the suggested one doesn't match as he might've deleted stuff over the years.
(Un?)fortunately Joe J has pulled the story for a rewrite. The original ending was a little bit of a clash compared to the rest of the story. He has also pulled Twice Lucky III. Hopefully for a rewrite and completion. The early part has some of my favorite scenes from the story.
