I'm trying to track down a story I read here a few years ago. It's a game lit or dungeons and dragons type story where the main character is the son of a swordmaster, but his first power/weapon is a pen and ink, which he finds creative uses for. His original adventuring party splits apart, his best friend is severely injured, so MC is seeking a cure in the dungeons. The injured friend was likely betrayed by his bother. The MC's father, the swordmaster, works for the house of the injured friend. It was a long story and incomplete as I recall.
