This is an oldie. A boy grows up next door to a family in which the father is from Saudi Arabia and the mother an American. Their son is the boy's best friend and he also has a huge crush on the older daughter. The boy witnesses the father in a rage in which he kills his son and flees back to Saudi Arabia. The boy vows he will never again stand by helpless while someone he loves gets hurt. So he takes up karate, becomes friends with the sensei, gets in a huge fight with kidnappers who are sent by the father to snatch the sister, kills one man and gets shot! Damn! I remember the entire story except for the ending. I got to read that ending again. Help!
