Looking for a story with the memorable (to me) saying "too ugly to die". I thought the story was called "Trading Up" or was a Denham Forrest story but didn't come up with it.
Other things I remember about the story:
at the start the guys wife dumps him for her boss (this is where I seem to remember her saying she was "trading up",
has a son that stays with him and not the wife,
now ex-husband gets a job doing something for cruise ships/line and during trips repels pirates, meets hot latina onboard, and near end saves politicians daughter from sharks. This is where I remember the "too ugly to die" being said.
I also seem to remember the ex-wife wanting to return near the end as well.
Here's hoping someone remembers the title and/or author since I can't, lol
Thanks, SS
