Second chance by Number 7 not sure where its in there some where. He and a nurse end up shooting down most of the attackers although he gets hurt, burned hands. Does that sound right.
Definitely Second Chance by Number 7, in either the last or next-to-last Books alludes to the belief that major IJN attack waves supposedly used Kolekole Pass to attack Scholfield, Wheeler, Pearl Harbor and Hickam military facilities on Dec 7th, 1941, and takes advantage of that to cripple the air attacks ...
Unfortunately, historians no longer believe many, if any, IJN aircraft used that path, and now believe the 1st wave came around the west shore, with the 2nd wave coming in from the east ...
In one of Old-Man-with-a-Pen's stories the female MC is sailing to visit the places of WW2 in the Pacific and using her Watch for time travel back. She uses a big heavily armed sailboat and is the Admiral of the Nevis & St. Kitt's navy. BTW, her sailboat is the flagship – and only ship – of the N&SK navy. She and her male companion end up in the mountains during the attack and IIRC had to shoot at the attackers.
