Who is your favorite author who has published only one story to SOL, then never published again?
I don't want to include the authors who have spent years writing a neverending story, but instead wrote one good completed story that got high scores.
Incomplete & Inactive is ok, if it was a really good story.
Lord Winter's 'Storm and Stone.' He has posted the last chapters after long intervals, so there is hope that he will finish it.
I stand corrected: he actually has two stories posted, both incomplete. But I think 'Storm and Stone' is still worthy of mention here.

How, exactly, can we really answer this question? I mean, it's entirely possible that some writers created single-use pen names. I'm pretty sure rache did that a couple times. I know of a few others... but there's no way to be sure there aren't more.

As a reader, the only way I have to identify probable nyms is when an author is archived - all their nyms are archived at the same time. So, if an author is placed on the ToBeArchived list and is the sole author placed there that check, then there are no associated nyms. Thus, if the author has only one story in the TBA list and no other authors were added at that check, it's a valid candidate (there's one there now). There have been about 45 single story authors so far this year (20 incomplete), and another 15 or so that could have been nyms or may have been single story authors that just happened to be archived at the same time as another.
