i have what i think is the greatest idea for a story but i have no motivation to write it. How do i get over that? or how do i motivate myself?

Just start writing.
If it's a really good idea, one you'll really get into, the words will flow and you'll be excited to write them. If you find out it's not, you'll abandon it.
The best way to accomplish anything when motivation is lacking is to take advantage of human behavior.
By that, what I mean is simple - people do many things by force of habit. So, make a habit of sitting down and writing. Once it becomes a habit, it'll continue, whether you have motivation or not. (This even works when dealing with depression-induced lack of motivation. Speaking from experience.)
That's a difficult one. If you think it's the greatest story ever told (isn't that supposed to be the Christian Bible?), then think of all the readers who share your tastes and would love to read it. Write the story for yourself, as you would want to read it, knowing that others will thank you for it.
