You might consider my series A Well-Lived Life which has many of the same elements.
The universe has two series on SOL so far - 'A Well-Lived Life' and 'Good Medicine'.
I think that Nick Scipio's Summer Camp is the closest to Bluedragon's OSL series.

John Evans is doing a fine job with his coming of age tale, using NS' Summer Camp as a starting point. It's called 'Diary of a Masher'. I think it's very good and you don't need to have any familiarity with SC to start reading.
