you know stories of the child coming out of the woodworks and confronting the parent(usually father) about why they gave them up or were not around, then the child discovering their version of events was wrong and then reconnecting with the parent

Abandoned by Jessy19. It's about a young adult that was abandoned as a baby and he goes on a journey to find his biological mother. He finds out why but at the same time... Well, it's an incest story, so that might not be your cup of tea if that bothers you. I thought it was well written. Good prose, like-able characters and well, taboo romance. Haven't read this for years, so I hope my summary is accurate.
