If you haven't read A.A. Nemo's "A Tyler Christmas", do yourself a favor - read it. It's a war story. It's a love story. It's a story of war's aftermath. But most importantly, it's a story of reconciliation and hope and that's what Christmas is all about!
I liked the story. A lot! I gave it three stars, my maximum. But I was left slightly disappointed by the ending - in my opinion it left too many unanswered questions.

That's exactly the kind of ending I enjoy - allow the readers' imagination to fill in what happens next. I'd be disappointed if the author wrapped it all up in a neat little package and left nothing for me to ponder.
So what do you imagine happened to Erica?
Erica was history even before he left for the service. When he told her that marriage was what her mother wanted, they were done. She held on with his mother out of convenience and to avoid her own manipulative mother. When the family, minus dad, was reunited in Tyler, she didn't bother to accompany them because she knew it was over.
As usual A.A. Nemo has written a great short story with lots of interesting characters and potential. I see this developing into a nice long series like A Tyler Valentines Day, A Tyler Labor Day, A Tyler Independence Day, taking us along to look into the lives and loves of the characters introduced. I've written to him on this, hopefully he'll take on the suggestion.

I was disappointed when Jacob's Granddaughters ended. That was another story to which I awarded three stars. The world needs more A.A. Nemo output!
