What sequel are you waiting for?

ystokes ๐Ÿšซ

For me it's "Intemperance 10" To leave it with such a major cliffhanger for so long is cruel.

Climbing The Ladder 5 (Reaching New Heights) by Michael Loucks, last word is sometime in Jan 2026...so about a year after CTL4 ended. Tooooo loooong!

Tooooo loooong!

It has a lot to do with the 90-day health break I took last year. That set me back more than 90 days in writing. I'm more or less back on track, and hopefully the next AWLL book will follow CTL quite soon.

Just finished re-reading all 4 so I am ready for #5 in January! Can't wait to read your storyline on Bev's suicide...

@ystokes

This is going to sound strange, but the ones I'm really waiting for are the two I'm writing โ€” one for 'Building a Better Past' and one to merge 'Charley and Claire' and 'Protective Coloration'. I wonder if my muse went off somewhere and got stuck?

Crumbly Writer ๐Ÿšซ

@tendertouch

Alas, muses are notoriously fickle, so if you stop heading their call, they'll often seek out new authors more receptive to their inspiration.

The Outsider ๐Ÿšซ

@tendertouch

I've been saying that my muse ran away, screaming, and is likely shivering in a dark corner somewhere...

Dinsdale ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

The next part of Runesward, Kenn Ghannon.
A week ago I'd have said something else but Argon has started posting his newest story.

throwaway8390 ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

For me, it would be 'Flight of the Code Monkey' by Kid Wigger; although based on the author's age and lack of activity for a few years is highly unlikely https://storiesonline.net/s/74251/flight-of-the-code-monkey

@madnige

Eh with the ending and many chapters as it had, that could be 'book 1'

whisperclaw ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

Next book in the Arc Deco series by Stultus

EdSol's The Power and also his Set Fire to the Rain

The Regan and Riley series by Jay Cantrell

The next Needles and Delayne book by Todd_d172

Out of that list, the only one with a shot is the last.

Dragons of the Night is incomplete. Amusingly (and I'm sure, deliberately) the titles of the four stories start with A, B, C and D in order.

I believe EdSol is ElSol.

I was told it's on Patreon at one dollar a chapter and so far, has 28 chapters. Way out of my price range.

Updated:

@Dinsdale

Much of it was less taxing. I expected that the gun and grandfather would come into play at some part of the story and Bec shutting down was not a surprise. How it all came together was, for me, the mystery.
I do wish there were more sequels for this excellent character.

samuelmichaels ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

Agree with several of those.

Plus a sequel to Dream Master by Shadow Of Moonlight,
and Wagons Ho! / Washed Up by Lazlong.

Not that I really expect either one of them.

@samuelmichaels

Lazlong was last sighted - as a reader - in July 2015, before that he was reporting serious cardiovascular problems.
Back in March or April 2006 he had to be rushed off to hospital and when he came back, the hard drive where he kept his writings had suicided to the extent he could not boot a machine with that drive attached, even via USB.

Crumbly Writer ๐Ÿšซ

@samuelmichaels

Dream Master was pretty well wrapped up, but with an open-ended conclusion, so that one is pretty doubtful. Lazlong's are also highly doubtful for the stated reasons in the next post.

Living in Sin by Al Steiner

buddha_recondo_1 ๐Ÿšซ

@ystokes

Few series I'd love to read the next book of

Destroyers - Monbade
Spartan War Chronicals - Mike Cropo

to name just 2.

Unfortunately both authors of Died.
