Revenge (get even) story

Switch Blayde ๐Ÿšซ

I'm reading a story that I'm about to quit on. In the story, a woman's underage daughter drugs her mother and then invites her older boyfriend and 3 of his friends into the house to sexually abuse and humiliate her mother while recording it. So even after the drug wears off, the threat of blackmail makes the woman submit to the same kind of abuse and even worse. I can only imagine where this will lead but won't find out because I'm done reading it.

However, I would have loved the story to go another way. Once the drugs wore off, I would have the mother kick some ass. Maybe she was a badass before she got pregnant with her daughter and gave that up. She would also learn that her daughter was so bad that she didn't deserve mercy.

In my mind, once the drugs wore off the mother would get even with her abusers in a rather violent, painful way. Torture them. Force the guys to have sex with each other. Slice dicks off and let them bleed out. Hand her daughter the daughter's boyfriend's severed dick. And maybe even give her daughter to a third world bordello run by gangsters for a life of misery.

But I won't write that story. Too many squicks. Why write something that you know most readers don't want to read? But writing this post at least gave me a chance for the mother to get even. That's the mother I will keep in my mind. The winner, not the loser.

You forget to mention she served in the US Marines until a medical discharge. That must be worth a couple of points on the score.

I'm not John Wick or the character from "Nobody" so you have nothing to fear from me. But I can't stand when the bad guy wins.

Writing my post was very therapeutic. It released a lot of anger.

I thought I was angry at the daughter and her friends, but maybe I was angry at the author. He told the characters how to act and feel. In my story "Teacher's Nightmare," the teacher didn't have the capability to fight back โ€” but she tried. And since I like the good to win over the evil, she had help in punishing those who wronged her.

Yeah, I love "get even" stories.

Yeah, but those stories are distinct from the typical 'Revenge' or the more typical BTB stories. Those are examples of justified retaliation.

I concur, as those types of tales are a bit too twisted for the likes of me, as I prefer conceivable stories, not the 'worst of the worst' or a mere collection of story tags with little justification.

Again, I prefer story over kink, and if there's no story โ€ฆ

Why write something that you know most readers don't want to read?

From what I've seen in the Loving Wives Genre so far... I'm not convinced that's not something most readers would want to read.
As far as I can tell, any kind of empathetic reader who views what they read in terms of "What if that was actually happening to real people" would LOVE to read your take on it.

Or, to put it simply... I highly doubt you're the only one who abandoned the story, cause the lack of revenge pissed them off.

Ooh, I like this one. Even if I wouldn't write it or read it.

Revenge, the novella by Jim Harrison, is an excellent revenge story. There's always The Count of Monte Cristo, too.

That's one of my favorites of all time. And of course, "V for Vendetta."
