Well, that was a tad frustrating, decided to reread an old series, 15 chapters into book one and suddenly the entire series has been moved to premium.
Never had that happen before. Guess I'll have to update too some day soon.

I check the "Up for Archival" section if an author hasn't been posted or been heard from for awhile...wht story were you reading?
https://storiesonline.net/library/about-to-be-archived.php
Loved her Eric Olafson/Galactic Chronicles stories and have read several times! Iirc someone posted a little while ago she was up for archival soon...may she RIP...
I noticed a week ago that she was in the list, then looked at her https://readerinfo.net/cpp?cp=vanessaravencroft entry and decided that the current cutoff point for archival has to be four years inactivity and not three as I had thought.
This would seem to indicate aubie56 will vanish behind the paywall in around 11-12 months.

There's nothing on readerinfo about aubie56. I seem to recall a blog or something about him taking a break (due to health?) but I always hoped he'd make a comeback.
AJ
Jay Cantrell may disappear behind the paywall in January. His last blog post was January '21. Free members should start reading now as his long form stories can take a whole to get through.
I recently went through a few of his stories
There's some damn fine writers on here for sure.
When Don Lockwood's stories were about to be archived, our esteemed webmaster elevated him to "national treasure" status (or similar) and kept the stories public.
Jay Cantrell's stories also deserve that status, as do Lazlo Zalezac's for that matter.
(and if people want to start chiming in with "him/her too", a separate thread would be better).

20 months.
I think for the 7 bucks for one month it may be worth it just to see if you enjoy what you get. I was free for a few days then realized for 7 bucks i could at least 'test' out if premium was worth it. Of all the subs i pay for this probably has the most value.

I totally agree. I have dropped all my TV subs since I only watch the local news.
I stopped watching regular TV years ago, except for a few select series. I watched 'This Old House' and the major good cooking show for a few years, then stopped watching them too. So now I watch the local NFL team (Go Chiefs!) and maybe a special if I find out about it in time.
