I wonder if Oyster50 going to ever finish Community Still Here?

@jimbo77821

'The Beach House' got a new chapter in the last 24 hours.

https://storiesonline.net/n/32546/the-beach-house-by-oyster50 is not part of the Community stories, although it feels as though it should be.
I think I saw a comment from him - maybe in that story's comments - confirming that it was not Community.

@Dinsdale

Perhaps I should have made it clear I was only mentioning The Beach House to confirm the author is still active.

I agree that the story does have a 'smart girl' feel. Oyster50 has made a communityist about-turn and added stories to the Community Universe previously after they started out free-standing.

His last blog post on 8 31 2024 says he wants to resume the Community stories...and it looks like he has email if someone wanted to contact him

@jimbo77821

I emailed him 3 months ago and he said he would have a chapter shortly. Hasn't happened.

Yes, Oyster has intentions of going on with Community.

There is a chapter in progress. Retirement did not open the floodgates of writing as he imagined it would.

Oyster hisownself.

I'm reminded of a famous quote: " The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men 'oft gang astray!"

Another phrase comes to mind as well:

A man's heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Which one of his characters quotes in Carlie.

@oyster50

hisownself

Yorkshire has a much better word - hissen

Hissen, pron. C. Himself. His-sel is also very common, but not so frequently heard in the E. R. as His-sen.
Ex. He 'll a'e ti gan wiv hissen.
