I'm in the middle of reading this and quite enjoying it, although the authors style of writing is not my favourite. It often reads like a cooking recipe. But it certainly has plot and then some. It was written/copyrighted in 2012. But it must be the basic idea for the Netflix series Designated Survivor.

Because Going Forward 55 is a pseudonym, it is difficult to find out if they played a part in the writing or consulting for the series. Can anyone offer info?

There's nothing terribly unusual about two different authors independently having the same basic idea.

For a reasonable inference that Going Forward 55 was involved in the series you would, in my opinion, have to show a much stronger connection than they are both based on the same basic idea.
