Stolen Works For Sale On Amazon

Hi All

Recently a reader put me onto an Author selling erotic stories on Amazon.

The authors name is Lori Donny. So far I have found 4 of my stories under her name and several stories that I have read from authors on SOL.

I am dealing with Amazon now. Oh Joy! You might want to go to her page and check out the stories. She copied the stolen work exactly but changes the names of characters and the name of the story.

I'm thinking of writing reviews on my stolen stories just to see what happens.

There was a post about this individual a few months back in the forums and one of the authors of the works concerned was going to raise the issue with Amazon. I may be wrong, but I think someone else said they had also previously raised the issue with Amazon to no avail.

They didn't have that many stories last time I looked, so it must be paying well for them to keep doing it.

Probably Amazon doesn't really care, they're making a (small) amount of money.

I suggest you try something that I had to do years ago:
Have a lawyer send a takedown notice to Amazon's legal dept, cc to public relations, cc to the CEO.

Any of the above have the clout to override whatever low-level Amazon employee has been ignoring your requests.

They'll do this because to do otherwise is going to cost Amazon a bunch of lawyer fees which will far outweigh any income from sales of the pirated works.

Your lawyer will be proud to boast that he forced the Amazon giant to back down. Buy him a frame to hang the letter on his wall.

Just checked the site. The 'Cheating Wives' stories are all listed as hers, though the 'Other Authors' and their listed works (including mine), all point to the correct, valid sites. Were one of the 'Cheating Wives' stories yours, or has she corrected the posts, attributing them to the correct authors?

I follow the link in the OP and I don't see any works listed attributed to other authors. There are links to other authors on the left side panel, but that's it.

Awhile back Ka Hmnd had some stories stolen on Amazon. Took some time but they got taken down.
