Looking for places online for finding cute thingsβcould be pix, vids, text, games, whatevs. Preferably at least as cute as r/tinyanimalsonfingers. Er, asking for a friend. Totes for a friend, yeah.
(Actually, it's story research. TIA.)

Your local humane society's web site.
Puppies and kittens are always good for a dose of cute.
Not a recommendation, because I've never personally used it, but I've seen this site plugged as a good source of novelty items.

That's got some good stuff β I mean, I've been eyeing that Lego bonsai set for a while β but I wouldn't exactly describe it as a purveyor of cuteness. Thanks, though.
Hmm. Not exactly a snappy thing to put in a story. But it does give me a starting point: do that and pay attention to which channels have the best cuteness. Thanks.
Oh, and your suggestion does remind me of a good one: Maru the cat (channel: mugumogu).
Oh, hey, it turns out that the Zooborns blog is still active. Another good one!

I don't see cuteness, I see snake food...
Couple weeks ago, babysitting grandkids for a week, found a show, I think its discovery+: Too Cute warning, this show contains puppies and kittens who are too cute! Grandkids are addicted. It follows the life of babies from birth to weaning. Dont know how that fits into your request, but you have been warned!
