Probably not a flock nor a herd. What is a group of pigs called? Family unit?
As in wild pigs a 'sounder'. There is a different name for domestic pigs, but I don't recall it.
A simple google search turns up:

Question: What does one call a group of hogs?
Answer: A group of pigs is called a drift or drove.
A group of young pigs is called a litter.
A group of hogs is called a passel or team.
A group of swine is called a sounder.
A group of boars is called a singular.
The wild hog groups around here are called sounders. The same applied on the reservation years back. I've heard the rest of those terms in relation to the domestic variants.

A couple other websites also say a group of pigs is called "a herd" of pigs

Personally since we are talking about domestic pigs (livestock) I'd take the Old Farmers Almanac as definitive on this, unless one of those other sources is a hog breeder's association.
one of the sites was illinois.edu,,,they didn't mention the other names, just answered a question someone asked if they could be called a herd...

I'd still go with the Old Farmer's Almanac.
I immediately thought of 'herd' and European websites seem to agree with me, so perhaps it's region dependent.
FWIW God says 'herd' because that's the term used in the bible.

And at least you get something useful from pigs,,,like bacon...and pork chops...damn, made myself hungry! lol

You are a geniusβ¦!!!
That's itβ¦!!!
A rasher of pigs.

It's great for me that this thread came up. A story I've been working on has a race I named "Swyne" (they're not pigs or anything like that in the story) and I've been wondering what a group of pigs is called but kept forgetting to google it and find out.
Now I know and can try to figure out how to use "sounder" to name a group of Swyne military spaceships :) I think I need to sleep on it lol
That's good thanks! During my sleep I came up with "Your entire Sounder surrendered, all 9 ships."
Will see what shakes out of my head and into the story...

Swyne Flew!
NB For anyone who is having to wait to read this, don't bother. It's a sub-shagrinesque pun, not a pearl of wisdom ;-)

I am not a submarine, nor a submissive. Or under anything, except a roof. I am not a substitute teacher, or subversive, or anything sub.
"shagrinesque - did not match any documents.
Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
Try different keywords.
Try more general keywords."
I do shag and grin. And I live in a SHAG apartment, Mountlake Senior Living. SHAG used to mean Senior Housing Assistance Group, but they have changed the words it stood for. Something about Ageless Generations.
With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.
On the other hand, they aren't so good at landing, and who wants to be standing under a pig as if flies overhead. :)
they aren't so good at landing
A quick interweb search shows that a family of pigs is called a 'bay', and when a family group comes in to land it's known as a bay of pigs landing ;-)

If repeated landings occurred during a week and all knocked out gardeners in an ornamental garden, wouldn't the whole thing be known as...
"The daze of swine and roses"

Swyne military spaceships
Now if only the best defence against them was a Psionic Yield Reactor Locating Explosive...
You could actually cast PYRLEs before Swyne.
