This query may belong in "lost stories," but I think it is more appropriate here.
There was a book, almost certainly dead-tree, and non-fiction. IIRC, the opening scenes were in Tennessee describing all of the preparations made far in advance of a presidential visit, in this case, the visit was to be at the home of Senator Howard Baker and the visitor was Ronald Reagan. I do not recall whether the book came out while Reagan was president or whether it was some time afterward.
Anybody have any clues what the title of this book might have been, or the name of the author?
