Two page reader

RELAXASECOND ๐Ÿšซ

Probably wrong area, I'm looking for a desktop reader capable of opening two pages at a time.

I use this to read SOL, private texts, non fiction etc.

Also need advise for a simple little desktop writer, ie
for writing stories again.

Are you looking for an e-book reader or a web browser?

By simple do you mean a basic text editor or are you looking for something free and/or easy to learn?

What OS?

Private texts in a reader? Can you define what you mean by "reader"?

That only works with documents formatted in printable pages like pdf's, Word documents, etc. Most reading software can display two pages if the source document is in pages. I say 'printable' pages because some SOL stories also have 'pages' but those aren't fit for a two-page display, even if the browser supported it. For stand-alone readers the same goes. Most pdf readers and most word processors can can display two pages simply because the document is formatted that way.

What you are looking for is a reader that support two-column reading which means that the visible text is spread over two columns. If you're on Linux you can look into the column command.

if you mean as an e-book reader the E-book Viewer that comes with the free download of Calibre has a bunch of preference settings that includes letting you set the number of pages being displayed.

If you mean as a text or word processor program I use the free Libre Office Writer which allows me to set as single page or two pages being displayed at once.

Since ePubs are displayed using your browser's display capability, it's universal, and most default ePub readers have the ability to display as either 'Pages' or 'Stream/Flow' mode.

I routinely test how my books by using viewing the ePubs using ePub viewers, since what works on one will usually work on them all.
