It did show up in the format previewer. Is it possible the problem as that I left spaces after and then before each tag? It's not that crucial; I just can't figure out what happened.

which system are you talking about?
If you mean the story tags for story lodged in the Wizard, you select them from the tag page of the submission wizard. If you mean somewhere else, it will vary as to where.
I believe I mean the ones in the Wizard. They are indeed at the top of the text. They have always worked before. They weren't randomly placed in the story. They look like {notice}text placed here.{/notice}In fact, the end-notes tags worked. I just typed them in plain text.
That is the way I understand your question anyway. (I'm not a super-techie kind of person.)

With more details of course.
I'm going to assume you're now talking about the in-line story format tags as mentioned in:
https://storiesonline.net/doc/Text_Formatting_Information_Guide
I had thought you were talking about the story code tags you select on the page as part of the story submission process.
If you send me Personal Message via the envelope icon with the section of worrisome code in it I'll see if I can spot the issue for you.
Thank you. Yes, I meant the in-line story format tags as you mentioned above. I have never used the tags from the story selection process. (I'm not even sure how to do that.) Let me try reloading it once more, and if that doesn't work I will PM you.
Somehow it worked fine this time. Maybe it had something to do with removing the spacing between the tags and the text?
The original was {notice} Text goes here. {/notice} The new on is {notice}Text goes here.{/notice}. I didn't realize that mattered. Thank you for your offer of help.
