Historia en español

9hans.fritz6 🚫

I would like to publish a story in the near future in Spanish, I want to publish it on this site, since it has been one of the ones I have used the most to read, I have read them with the google translator. Currently I can say that the translation is quite good. So I think that whoever wants to read it can do so.

So my question is whether it is allowed to publish in Spanish

Are you asking if you can publish your own original work in Spanish, or are you interested in translating something to Spanish? In the second case, I'm almost certain that wouldn't be allowed.
In the first... I'm pretty sure Laz specified some time ago that stories were to be submitted in English. I'm not sure if he's since released that restriction, but I'm not sure why he would - the site draws readers of English primarily. While many readers are fluent to some degree or another in other languages, English is the one language they all share.

You'll need to ask Lazeez himself. He's stated several times that he has no plans to include other languages, but he's always open to new ideas.

If someone could translate that for me, I'd appreciate it.

The OP claims to have been doing a lot of reading here, which would imply that he can read English.

Of course if that is the case, why didn't he post the original request in English.

He says he uses a translator to read the stories. He doesn't speak English.

My response in Spanish was the output of a translator, but I guess I didn't need to do that because I believe he reads this translated at the webpage level.

I wouldn't mix languages. So no posting anything other than English on SOL.

If I support a language, the site will be in that language, interface and contents.

I can't run a site in a language that I don't understand. I need to know what people are posting. Online translations tools are cool and good, but it gets tedious if I have to rely on tools to translate things simply to run the site.

I can read and write French, so that's on the docket sometime in the future. SOL's engine has the structure to be multi-lingual, but needs that infrastructure implemented in too many scripts that don't have it. So extensive modifications to the code are needed.

Hopefully, I could afford to hire a developer at some point and get them cracking at building the huge amounts of code needed for everything I have on my to-do list.

For now, my focus is on a new multi-site unified payment system to be able to build a site I've been asked if I could build to help authors out.

Would it be worth the effort?

I grew up with the impression that the French were so busy having sex that they wouldn't have much time to read about it.

Perhaps stereotyping, perhaps not.

Canadian French is spoken in Quebec and some adjacent areas. I am under the impression it varies from the language spoken in Paris, France in some ways. I doubt the Canadian people who speak "French" are quite as busy at sex as is assumed for residents of Paris, France.

While there are a number of regional versions of French around the world the variation in the language is not as much as you get in the different variations of English, especially in the written version of the French. Most of the differences in the French variations are to do with dialectic pronunciations than the changes to the language itself, although there are some different slang words. Thus, it's very likely a site in French text would be understandable to French readers world wide.
