Crumbly Writer?

PotomacBob 🚫

I recall an author on SOL forum named, IIRC, Crumbly Writer. I also think I recall his saying that he had written a post-apoc story. I decided to look for the story. No luck. I cannot find Crumbly Writer listed as an author, nor in the list of authors no longer with us.
Is this my (decidely inept) search abilities or am I misremembering (a definite possibility).

I think this is the series you want

Crumbly Writer 🚫

Ernest is right. My 3-book Great Death series was my second series. However, since I felt it no longer reflects my current writing (and I've published 18+ novels) I decided to retire it and my earlier Catalyst series. So it's now hidden behind the SOL Paywall.

So his writing is crumbling.

@richardshagrin

So his writing is crumbling.

Actually, the pseudonym originally referred to my writing style, where I wrote overly complex sentences (typically over 50 word sentences) and created complex plots, but where the 'crumbs' that dropped into readers laps (when rereading passages) would bring new insights into the story, giving it new life with each rereading, just like eating the discarded crumbs in the muffin wrapper bring renewed delight once the muffin is consumed.

There's generally a reason to my madness, though it's often not apparent in the first reading. ;)

There was madness in your stories?!? I don't remember madness in your stories.

Thouģh that might just be the CRS creeping up.

Alas, I was referring to my use of specific techniques, metaphors and pacing. Generally, whenever I include something in a story, or leave specific details out, there are specific reasons for it. Those will often be exposed on subsequent readers, which make my stories entertaining during multiple re-reads.

The seeming 'madness' is the author's, not the character's.
