how to submit a doc to be added before ch 1 of story

sunseeker ๐Ÿšซ

Ok, at the request of a reader I'd like to add a document listing the abbreviations/acronyms I use in my story. Is it possible to submit the document and have it posted so it shows before chapter 1? I already have 6 chapters posted.

I usually write both the full and abbreviated versions the first couple times I use them, then use on the abbreviation. Unfortunately didn't do this in ch 6 doh!

Thanks, SS

Story Sections

This is useful for long multi-chapter stories. It allows you to group your chapters into books or subsections in the story's index page (cover).

To insert a section header in the index page, use the {t} tag.

For example, to insert 'Book' separators:

{t}Book 1

Chapter 1: Chapter 1's title

Text for chapter 1....

Chapter 2: Chapter 2's title

text for chapter 2....

{t}Book 2 (or part 2 or whatever division you want to use)

Chapter 3: Chapter 3's title

text for chapter 3....

etc...

Use the above, but instead of calling it a chapter call it a Glossary as per below. It also works with a ToC, Cover, Character list, etc. so it will appear as a chapter of its own. I'd also make a point of mentioning its existence in the 'Moderator Notes' section of the Submission Wizard, to make sure they look for it.

as { p } Glossary

If the moderator misses the queues and it doesn't post how you want, just send Lazeez a message about what you wanted and what happened, and he'll be happy to fix it for you. He's even fixed a couple where I forgot to mark them properly.

On already-posted material, you're probably best off asking Laz directly for help.

I assume it's a short list.

Maybe you can use the {notice} in front of Chapter 1's heading with the abbreviatios/acronyms and resubmit Chapter 1, like:

{notice}
abbreviations/acronyms
{/notice}

Chapter 1

chapter text

@Switch Blayde

35 in total though only a few are used frequently...ai - artificial intelligence, gp for guardian prime, dd for dedeus, etc.

The document is there now and I believe I got them all :)

As an added note, when I'm first posting, I'll put the 'End Matter' in the front of the book, as detailed above, but when I finish the book, I then repost the End Matter sections to the end of the book where they belong.

It also helps when you post those extra sections, or move them around, if you include a short note to the moderator, so they know what you're trying to do and can make adjustments, if necessary.
