On-line thesauruses are very sparsely populated when it comes to antonyms of 'tumescent'. The first handful I looked at didn't contain more than three - detumescent and deflated seem to be de rigeur but I didn't even find 'flaccid' until the third.
I'm seeking suggestions for less common alternatives. Come on ladies, how do you describe your partner's little soldier when it's having some down time?

A little trick I sometimes use if I can think of the correct word: first lookup synonyms and then lookup antonyms for one or more of the best fitting synonyms. Not everything you find will be useful but you have a far greater list to choose from.

"Supine" means lying down. The uninspired member is more often pendant.
I would not use the word, though. "Soft" or "limp" should suffice.
What puzzles me is why one would need more than one or two words for this.
(To my mind, "detumescent" describes the organ shortly after ejaculation. I wouldn't use it to describe the organ in its normal state while our hero is wandering round minding his own business)

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but would not tumescent be somewhere between flaccid and hard? So, what exactly COULD be the opposite of half-involved? Negative half-involved??

Okay, you mean that as a joke, but not only is there variance in penis size, there is significant variance in the differential between erect and non-erect size, to the point where there is little to no correlation between erect and non-erect sizes.
The base of the penis is actually anchored well inside the body and there are men who shrink so much when non erect that it retracts completely inside the body.
