Does anyone know what happened to Lazlong? He wrote some really good stories and then suddenly stopped. I hope he is well.

We don't know. His status on ReaderInfo.net is "Unknown".

He did not stop "suddenly", it happened gradually. He did explain what was happening with blog entries at the time, only the last one (October 2009) is still around.
In a nutshell: Health issues, horrendous health issues. In April 2006 he was hospitalised in a hurry and by the time he came out again his computer was dead, along with one of his hard drives.
Quoting him:

The other one [hard drive], the one with most things on it, won't even let a computer connected to it come up.

To the best of my knowledge his stories will become premier-only in July this year.
Oh, and the Yahoo email address he used to use is "disabled".

It has happened.
Lazlong's stories are now in the "Stories about to be archived" list - it has been five years since he last logged on.
I missed him then and I miss him now.
