A got adventurous a while back, and bought a 5 image a month subscription to Fotilia.com (owned by Adobe). It's a stock image site with a more diverse than normal selection of material (some great sci-fi images). However, the end of the year is approaching, and I have an extra 7.5 images, with no more covers to design.

If anyone needs new covers, feel free to search Folila for images. If you find any, let me know and I'll send them to you (up to my outstanding balance. I don't really need them, because I've already formatted my next eight books! (By the way, it's also a great way to pick up artistic dividers and chapter header graphics.)

If you don't see any images you like, create a free account since they show members additional content. Beyond that, you're on your own.

Not sure how Fotila works, but there is a photo I could use for the cover of my novel "Last Kiss."

It's #68128919

Let me know, and thanks for the offer.

I hate to point out the obvious, but it's a horizontal image. Are you planning for readers to hold their monitors sideways when they peruse Amazon? 'D

Planning on flipping it. It's the scene after a car accident when he's leaning over her and giving her their last kiss. I thought the red in her hair was like blood.

CW, is that URL correct - the first 6 times I tried it I got hit with different advertising push sites, and the 7th time got a page that said the domain was for sale but also links for free images and purchasing images.

Oops! It wasn't. If you Google "Fotolia", the correct site will pop up as it's heavily used by designers, but someone else owns "fotolia.com". Try www.us.fotolia.com.

That's why they offer a free low-res download when you view the image. You can create sample mock-ups to see how it works before committing to the image. The XXL images are a high-enough resolution you can rotate the image and still retain full 300 dpi resolution. I'll often use a landscape image as a background to another image, which are often landscape images as well.
