Tags for: High fantasy in a super hero world.

I created a story with Superheroes, Villains, Robots, Super Techies (Like Iron Man), vampires and Lesser version of Gods.

In addition to the super hero tag, should I use the high fantasy one?

And yes, each group mentioned above is mentioned in the story. No it is not a short story.

Shad.

Just my two cents, but I think the superhero tag covers all that. Isn't Marvel's Thor a god? (At least he has god-like powers)

Robots and probably Super Techies don't belong in High Fantasy. Stories like "The Lord of the Rings" (The Lord of the Rings is an epic high fantasy novel written by English author and scholar J. R. R. Tolkien--Wikipedia) qualify. If it isn't in Tolkien it probably isn't high fantasy.

(And I didn't say anything about the characters being intoxicated.)

That is a subjective opinion.

One I would generally agree with, but you could have a High Fantasy / SciFi cross-over with elves dwarfs, magic and high tech.

I don't see a problem with what you've listed. It could simply be tagged with high fantasy alone for that matter.

The meaning of 'High Fantasy' was discussed in one of my writers' group meetings recently. Those in the know thought it meant stories set in another world rather than set in this world or a close approximation.

From your description alone, I can't discern whether your story meets that idea of High Fantasy or not.

If you think the story is High Fantasy, you should probably code it as such so that readers looking for High Fantasy stories will be able to find it.

I think I will leave it as just tag: superhero and either add something to the forward and or the discription.

This is based on the belieft that High Fantasy is an Tolkin type world.

I dont know, still new to all of this.

Thanks,
Shad

No reason you can't have a cross over story, but you need more High Fantasy elements than just lesser gods.

Vampires are not a core element of high fantasy. That would be more paranormal.

My minimum for high fantasy is you have to include multiple mythical creatures / races and some degree of magic.

Superheroes, Villains, Robots, Super Techies (Like Iron Man), vampires and Lesser version of Gods.

Nothing in this says high fantasy to me.
