It's OK, it's caused by this addictive thing called life so don't let it get you too down. Most of us understand.
Doc, in case you haven't noticed, we all tend to get carried away in our off-the-cuff comments, and frequently say stupid things. You'd think authors would be more circumspect, but if I subjected my forum comments to a revision phase, I might respond a month or two later!
Apologize (privately) to whoever you unintentionally insulted and move on. There's not much you can do about bad feelings.
