We got into a discussion about editing tools previously, and now I'm getting an avalance of notices about an updated version of the White Smoke tool (always a bad sign concerning quality software). I tried it previous because someone else said they liked it, but I found it limiting.
I'm wondering whether anyone has examined the newer version, and whether this one is significantly better/more reliable than the earlier version?

I'm a Christian, not a Roman Catholic. So the only pope I'm aware of is the Pope Company that makes hoses and gardening tools.
I use the current version. It is good at commas, possessives,mispellings. It is very poor at replacing where you meant it to go. A whole paragraph can disappear. That said I work with two copies on screen, make changes on clean copy. it also is good about over use of a word. Meets my needs because commas and I are mortal foes.
