I'm looking for a story I read many years ago. It was about an ex-Army or Marine that moves to a mountain in Tennessee and finds a mystery cave on his mountain. It holds Civil War items including a gold shipment. This was a very good story but I have forgotten the name or author. I would like to read it again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, you're looking in the wrong place. You'll get a better response (more people, if not necessarily any faster) in the "Lost Stories" thread. This thread, "Author Hangout", is geared towards authors discussing their craft. You're still welcome to peer into the mind of various authors here, and comment on anything we say, but keeping posts in the correct forum allows others to respond quicker.
While i have this i wanted to let you know I love your stories.
Thank you, and yeah, many of our authors are very well-read, not only recalling stories, but often having copies to deleted or removed stories for their private use, so they're pretty good at identifying stories quickly.
